Kidding aside, all the excerpts and junk I post here constitute a work of fiction. The narrator/protagonist is quite similar to me in many ways, but he's not really me. He will probably be more ambitious, more talented, more disciplined, more capable, and almost certainly better looking.
Of course, it's true that because I will be writing at such a high velocity that, yes, I'll be reaching for things from my real life to help me add color and detail to my otherwise lifeless, turgid prose. So, apologies in advance to anyone who thinks he sees himself in anything I write. However, I stress again that these are fictional characters. No conclusions should be drawn from them; ultimately, I am just making up a lot of stuff.
